Why the Costello Family
Neighborhoods are built by those who give of themselves—guiding kids, lending a hand, and keeping doors open when it matters. In the spirit and legacy of Jack Costello, the Costello family and the Jack Costello Boxing Club have championed boxing as a path to discipline, mentorship, and hope—helping thousands of young people stay on the right path.
The Costello Family and Jack Costello’s Boxing Club have long been a cornerstone of Northeast Philadelphia, built on a legacy of mentorship, discipline, and unwavering commitment to community. Founded by Jack Costello, the club was created as a safe and supportive space where young people could develop confidence, resilience, and purpose through the sport of boxing and the values it instills.

For generations of athletes and families, the gym has offered far more than training—it has provided structure, guidance, and a sense of belonging. Through dedication and personal investment, the Costello Family has helped countless individuals navigate life’s challenges, teaching lessons that extend well beyond the ring. Their work has empowered young people to believe in themselves, persevere through adversity, and strive for a better future.
Jack Costello’s Boxing Club, a non-profit, reflects the heart of its founder and family: tough, compassionate, and deeply rooted in service. Known for opening their doors to anyone willing to put in the work, the Costellos have created an environment where respect is earned, character is built, and no one stands alone. At Fritz & Bianculli, we are proud to honor the Costello Family and Jack Costello’s Boxing Club for their enduring impact, leadership, and dedication to uplifting their community—embodying the true spirit of courage celebrated in the Hall of Courage™.
